Daniel talks with friends and co-laborers in Christ, Pastor Luis and Kim Vargas, from Calvary Chapel of Bachiniva about their story of meeting each other and how God first called them to Bachiniva to help translate on a mission trip and eventually to pastor a church there. “The church planted itself. God had His plans that I didn’t know,” Pastor Luis said. It’s an exciting picture of how God moves in amazing ways, through the church and now the school at the House of Blessing.

One Piece of Advice | The Priority of Training Up Our Children by Pastor Nieves Vargas

Nieves is the Assistant Pastor and Youth Leader at Calvary Chapel of Bachiniva, the husband of Karen and father of four, the son of Pastor Luis and Kim Vargas ,as well as the cousin of Jason Sanchez. He has connections, people! Nieves shares his advice about the priority of training our children in the way of the Lord. “We can’t give our children the scraps. We have to give our children the best of ourselves.”

Pastor Sergio, translated by his daughter, shares his heart for creating Vacation Bible School materials in Spanish to reach the communities in Mexico and anywhere there is a need for Spanish language materials for VBS. S4.E16 - Discouragement

In this week’s lesson from Nehemiah 4, Pastor Daniel talks about how Nehemiah and the people faced discouragement while they were building the wall. He addresses reality head-on and we are wise if we learn from what He has to say. Nehemiah faced real opposition to God’s direct call in his life. S4.E14 - Criticism

In this week’s lesson from Nehemiah 4, Pastor Daniel tackles the subject of criticism and how all of us as leaders will face it. The Bible does not shy away from hard topics like this. Nehemiah dealt with it himself. Criticism is just part of leading people and getting things done. God has called us as leaders to have an impact in this world. Some people won’t like that. As. leaders we need to expect criticism and be prepared to handle it, not avoid it. Pastor Daniel examines Nehemiah’s response to criticism and the tactics used by his enemies. We can learn from his example.
