It is important as the leader to take the time to fast, pray and seek God in His word with your team. (Nehemiah 9:1-3)

Encourage those you influence to bless the Lord. (Nehemiah 9:4-5)

As a leader with authority, it is important you realize that you are not God and submit to His leadership to be successful. (Nehemiah 9:6)

___

Take time to remember the things God has done to give you the faith to trust Him for the future. (Nehemiah 9:7-15)

___

God is able and ready to forgive those that turn to Him, and in His grace and mercy He gives us His Spirit to instruct and empower us. (Nehemiah 9:16-21)

___

As a leader make sure you celebrate the victories and delight yourself in the goodness of the Lord. (Nehemiah 9:22-25)

___

Part of godly leadership is holding people accountable for their actions and allowing them to learn from their mistakes. (Nehemiah 9:26-31)

___

A godly leader goes to God in prayer and asks for Him to work on his behalf. (Nehemiah 9:32)

Successful leaders realize they need God. (Nehemiah 9:33-37)

It is important to write things out, to have contracts, and make things official with witnesses. (Nehemiah 9:38)

Make sure your team is taking the time to read the Bible together and encourage them to regularly read God’s word. (Nehemiah 8:1-3)

A godly leader must make sure that his platform has a godly purpose that honors God. (Nehemiah 8:4-5)

Leaders should give credit where credit is due. (Nehemiah 8:6)

___

Make sure your team is regularly worshipping God together and making the time to just praise His name. (Nehemiah 8:6)

___

Empower others to help you accomplish your vision. If you give others responsibility, make sure you give them authority as well. (Nehemiah 8:7-8)

___

Leaders must continually communicate vision and give practical instruction to their followers. (Nehemiah 8:9-11)

___

In order to lead well you must communicate your vision in an effective way so that people clearly understand it. (Nehemiah 8:12)

___

Godly leaders must continually be learning from God’s word and taking the time to grow in their faith. (Nehemiah 8:16-17)

There are great blessings when you apply God’s word to your life. (Nehemiah 8:18)

Make it a practice to read God’s word daily and listen to the vision He gives you. (Nehemiah 8:18)

It is important as a leader to clarify what is true and kill the culture of rumors and gossip. (Nehemiah 6:5-8)

A godly leader humbles himself regularly before God and asks for His help and strength. (Nehemiah 6:9)

When accomplishing great things for God we must understand and discern that spiritual attacks will come and prepare ourselves for them. (Nehemiah 6:10-13)

Allow God to take care of your enemies and place them in His hands. (Nehemiah 6:14)

When people are unified and working together, they can get great things done. (Nehemiah 6:15)

God desires to help people do great things for His kingdom. Have you asked Him for His help today? (Nehemiah 6:16)

A godly leader must have strong character and be above reproach because there are always foes wanting to take him out. (Nehemiah 6:17-19)

Some people will get upset when a leader makes changes and do not like the status quo being changed. (Nehemiah 4:1)

Even when a leader is making great impact there can still be criticism from others. (Nehemiah 4:2-3)

A great response to criticism is prayer. Have God be your judge rather than man and let Him examine your heart and actions. (Nehemiah 4:4-5)

Don’t let the voices of others stop you from doing what God has called you to do. (Nehemiah 4:6)

___

When a team has a mind to work, they can accomplish great things. (Nehemiah 4:6)

___

Opposition arises to any great work. (Nehemiah 4:7-8)

___

When facing opposition, pray to God. (Nehemiah 4:9)

___

A leader must continually speak life, encouragement and vision to his followers. (Nehemiah 4:10-14)

___

A great leader plans and prepares for obstacles that can arise to accomplish the vision. (Nehemiah 4:15-21)

___

Leaders must be prepared for opposition and fight through it. (Nehemiah 4:22-23)

A great leader needs to have a team to accomplish great vision. (Nehemiah 3:1)

Having a great team takes unity not uniformity. A team should be diverse in strengths and work with one another. (Nehemiah 3:4)

Just because you have a great vision does not mean everyone will help you achieve it. (Nehemiah 3:5)

God always sees our work for Him and will reward those who are faithful. (Nehemiah 3:6-13)

Great leaders lead by example and work with their followers to accomplish the vision; they don’t just give them orders. (Nehemiah 3:14)

We don’t just communicate with our words but also with our body language. (Nehemiah 2:2)

Asking the question, “How can I help?” is a great way to show others you care. (Nehemiah 2:4)

It is always a good idea to pray before you speak. (Nehemiah 2:4)

Remember as a follower of Jesus you can pray at any moment of the day…take advantage of it! (Nehemiah 2:4)

Don’t be afraid (or too prideful) to ask others for help. (Nehemiah 2:5)

___

Setting a timeframe for your goals can help the process of completing them. (Nehemiah 2:6)

___

In order to fund and accomplish the vision, it takes asking others for help. (Nehemiah 2:7-8)

___

Having the favor of God on your life is much more important than your leadership skills. Ask God for His grace and favor today. (Nehemiah 2:8)

___

Following through on your words with action is important as leader. Let your yes be yes.(Nehemiah 2:9)

Some people will hear about your success and be displeased. Don’t worry about them, but continue to do what you are doing. (Nehemiah 2:10)

There are always critics of great leaders, but great leaders focus on their vision rather than other people’s vision for them. (Nehemiah 2:10)

Godly leaders seek the welfare of the people, not just tasks. (Nehemiah 2:10)

___

As a leader take time to think, analyze and process the vision God gave you before you tell others. (Nehemiah 2:11-12)

___

Inspect the problems that are present honestly and with clarity before you try to fix them. (Nehemiah 2:13)

___

Inspecting the problems you want to solve can be time consuming. But make sure you take that time to clearly evaluate the situation. (Nehemiah 2:14-15)

“Let us” are powerful words that encourage teamwork. A leader is never alone but should always have a team. (Nehemiah 2:17)

___

Vision is a picture of a better future. (Nehemiah 2:17)

___

Stories help inspire support for your vision. What stories can you share to strengthen you vision? (Nehemiah 1:`8)

There will always be people who question your vision. (Nehemiah 2:19)

___

A godly leader recognizes that God is with him and God will accomplish more than any man can. (Nehemiah 2:20)

Sometimes you need to process your pain and grieve before you move forward. (Nehemiah 1:4)

Don’t let you circumstance be bigger than your God. (Nehemiah 1:5)

Praying for the people that follow you is an important part of a godly leader’s role. (Nehemiah 1:6)

We should be humble enough as a leader to say we were wrong and sinned. (Nehemiah 1:6)

Remember, there are consequences for your actions…whether good or bad. (Nehemiah 1:7-9)

A godly leader must have the faith to claim and act on the promises of God. (Nehemiah 1:8-9)

No matter what title you have in your organization, you can always influence others and lead. (Nehemiah1:10)
