Empowering Your Team by Pastor Bill Mitchell

Leadership Lesson | Pastor Bill Mitchell

God has called us to work in teams. The greater the vision, the greater the need for a great team. We need to be learning from mentors and also passing on our influence to others. In this week’s lesson, Pastor Bill Mitchell, Boca Community Church, shares about the importance of empowering others. Pastor Bill started a ministry called BocaLead, hosting a monthly luncheon speaking to over 400 local business leaders, sharing biblical principles with the aim to raise the bar on ethics and integrity in the business community. Here he shares five ways to empower the people who work on your team, distilling the main points of the book The Leadership Challenge by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, “one of the seminal books on leadership.” 1)Model the way. 2)Inspire a Shared Vision. 3)Challenge the process. 4)Enable others to act. 5)Encourage the heart. Those are the points, but you’ve got to hear him share it. It’s empowering. Find out more at BocaLead.com
