Leadership Thoughts from Nehemiah 4

Some people will get upset when a leader makes changes and do not like the status quo being changed. (Nehemiah 4:1)

Even when a leader is making great impact there can still be criticism from others. (Nehemiah 4:2-3)

A great response to criticism is prayer. Have God be your judge rather than man and let Him examine your heart and actions. (Nehemiah 4:4-5)

Don’t let the voices of others stop you from doing what God has called you to do. (Nehemiah 4:6)

When a team has a mind to work, they can accomplish great things. (Nehemiah 4:6)

Opposition arises to any great work. (Nehemiah 4:7-8)

When facing opposition, pray to God. (Nehemiah 4:9)

A leader must continually speak life, encouragement and vision to his followers. (Nehemiah 4:10-14)

A great leader plans and prepares for obstacles that can arise to accomplish the vision. (Nehemiah 4:15-21)

Leaders must be prepared for opposition and fight through it. (Nehemiah 4:22-23)
