EE Leaders | Leadership Lessons Season 2 Episode 6 - Investing In Your Team

Daniel talks with Kelly Nothnagle, Associate Pastor at Calvary Chapel Boynton Beach Campus, Boynton Beach, FL about teams and teamwork. Why is it so important to work together? The work that can be accomplished by a team is so much greater than what can be accomplished alone. These pastors love talking about the nitty gritty of ministry and how it all works. Building teams, inspiring people to see the vision God has given and want to be a part of that. What is someone wants to serve in an area that is not their gift? It’s all here. And a few good laughs along the way.

QUOTES:

“It’s really exciting being part of a bigger vision of what God is doing.” - Kelly Nothnagle

“If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go with a team.” - Kelly Nothnagle

“Use what you’ve got. When God brings people to your network, your influence, your church, start there.” - Daniel Williams

“Real discipleship is being wiling to tell people the truth.” - Kelly Nothnagle

One Piece of Advice | One Thing

Dave Baldwin, Director of Church United for the Boca/Delray Region, shares his one piece of advice: Know your one thing. Dave’s mother’s death caused him to look at everything in life differently. Reflecting on King Solomon, gifted by God with supernatural wisdom, and his pursuit of all the world’s pleasures, what was the one thing that had lasting value? Only His relationship with God. It is the one thing that matters.

QUOTES:

“When my mother died, it rocked my world. What once gave me great pride just didn’t mean anything.” -Dave Baldwin

“All these vanities are meaningless. The thing to do is just to fear God and have that personal relationship, to be obedient to His commands and to follow His ways.” -Dave Baldwin
