Leadership Thoughts from Nehemiah 5

Being dissatisfied with the status quo is part of leadership. (Nehemiah 5:1-6)

Think before you speak. (Nehemiah 5:7-8)

Rebuking people is a part of leadership when you are pointing them to God. (Nehemiah 5:9)

When you see a problem, rather than complaining, be a part of the solution. (Nehemiah 5:10-11)

Holding people accountable is a part of leadership. (Nehemiah 5:12-13)

A godly leader is one who uses his authority to bless others. (Nehemiah 5:14-15)

Your faith in God should affect the way you lead others. (Nehemiah 5:15)

A leader should come to work every day to work. (Nehemiah 5:16)

We should’t demand special perks because we are leading others, but we should use our perks to bless others. (Nehemiah 5:17-18)

The greatest leaders are the ones who are submitted to God and use their gift of leadership to worship Him. (Nehemiah 5:19)
