Leadership Thoughts from Nehemiah 1

Great leaders ask great questions. (Nehemiah 1:2)

When you ask people questions and want input, take time to listen. (Nehemiah 1:3)

Great vision comes from wanting to fix great problems. (Nehemiah 1:4)

As a leader, look to solve the problems you see. (Nehemiah 1:4)

Prayer has the power to solve many problems (Nehemiah 1:4)

Sometimes you need to process your pain and grieve before you move forward. (Nehemiah 1:4)

Don’t let you circumstance be bigger than your God. (Nehemiah 1:5)

Remind yourself daily who God is. (Nehemiah 1:5)

Praying for the people that follow you is an important part of a godly leader’s role. (Nehemiah 1:6)

We should be humble enough as a leader to say we were wrong and sinned. (Nehemiah 1:6)

A godly leader takes responsibility for his or her actions. (Nehemiah 1:7)

Remember, there are consequences for your actions…whether good or bad. (Nehemiah 1:7-9)

A godly leader must have the faith to claim and act on the promises of God. (Nehemiah 1:8-9)

No matter what title you have in your organization, you can always influence others and lead. (Nehemiah1:10)
